Radeon Omega Drivers v2.5.90 (8.07 Beta)

I don't need to say much this time, the drivers will speak for themselves

What's New? (2k/XP 2.5.90)

* Based on the Beta Catalyst 8.07 drivers.

* Fixed Radlinker installation issues, now it should give NO errors.

* Updated the Advanced 3D control panel to include Color/Gamma settings, so I disabled the normal ATI Color tab.

* Enabled WMV hardware acceleration.

* Fixed a bug with some Radeon cards (mostly 8500 and 9000) which caused texture corruption in some 3D games/applications. Thanks to lockves for the tip.

* Fixed a few install/uninstall issues which caused some old settings to stay in the registry even after installing/uninstalling the drivers.

* Enabled Geometry Instancing in supported cards (R300 and up).

* Enabled AI support without the need to use or install CCC.

* The Advanced 3D Control Panel has changed, now both D3D and OGL settings are applied using Global controls in the 3D tab, and specific D3D and OGL settings have been moved to the Options tab. This was the only way to add AI support to the drivers.

* Found the cause of the laptop video playback problem, see note #1 in the readme for the fix.

Known bugs:
* Hibernation and Standby are not working properly, I'm working on this.

Update (10/02/04):
For those of you getting the "Device not supported..." error, I have uploaded a fixed set that should work now. Delete the previous downloaded file, go to my site and download the file again from the mirrors marked as "UPDATED", that should do it. And sorry for any inconveniences.

Does that mean the official cats don't have those functionality enabled?
What does the WMV do?
Also I though the geometry instancing has been enabled since cats 4.8. So how is this differerent?

The official drivers had Geometry Instancing enabled, but for some reason it was disabled in the beta drivers.

WMV= Windows Media Video

WMV acceleration has always been disabled because it had bugs, but the problems where fixed in this version of the drivers, so I enabled the option.

Wow I just had became aware of the v2.5.76 set. I have to say omegas dedication to bringing these great ATI card drivers is amazing. What's even more amazing is the way omega takes the time to give follow up support. I once had a random question about getting a Win98 driver and he personally responded to my email. I have had nothing on my computer since I got my first ATI RageFury card a couple of years ago.

Its in 3d options, bottom right. If you don't see it, I suggest a drivercleaner run and reinstall.

Holy cow :P what a driffter I just came from freash formated and I before driver test I had 11085
hehe I got sneak peak

Then I decide formated with same drivers and look at my score now

Did you need special permission from ATI in order to have the AI feature set as part of these drivers?

I'm sure ATI wanted to be the first to debut their new AI feature in the new Catalyst 4.10 drivers, so it was a welcome surprise to see you get the world exclusive debut for AI!!!

I'm glad you did get it though--as these drivers are the best out and ATI probably sees that as well!! Keep up the good work!!

you seem to mention that u have implimented the catalyst AI function, however is it fully working? does the 8.07 drivers take those settings to the AI functions/commands?

so far i read and it suggests its just implimented for when the drivers can do it... tho im not 100% sure.

@ Robert McClelland whats ur 3dmark 05 score? i wana see so i can compair
