??? How important is it to go to regedit and delete....

ati related stuff (depending on video card) when installing a new driver.
I'm hhaving some video problems like flickering and I wanted to know if not having done that step might be the problem.
It's not like I bought a new video card its always been the same one ATI and all I'm doing is using driver cleaner and then installing new cats example 4.7 to 4.9.

Anyone with some advice on this or an explanation opf why that step may be important?

Thanks!

I've never gone through the registry when upgrading to a different Cat driver and I've been using them since I became an owner and the early 3.X series was out. In my opinion a proper uninstall of all the components plus running Driver Cleaner is important; but I personally have never had to go through the registry for an upgrade.

could it be that you have temporal AA on? some ppl are having that flickering in some games. If ure doing driver cleaner right and not going into registry ureself, u should be set.
