exclamation Plz Help me with the omega drivers!

i've recently been having a problem with the omega drivers and any RTS game, immediately after the game starts, there will be black, green, and gray stripes all over the ground, with the older non-omega drivers, i have a problem with infantry and textures dissapearing along with the control bar turning black after a short while, i have tried reinstalling the AGP drivers after installing the omega drivers, i have changed the settings for SmartGart, and i have installed the omega drivers before all of this (Duh). well, if anyone could help me it would be much appreciated, i have a screenshot of the problem, but i cant seem to send it via e-mail. and i dont know how to attach a picture to this message board. ANyways, if you can help me it would be much appreciated,

Sum-Gui

P.S.
I have an acer ferrari 3000 laptop, The specs are:
CPU: AMD Athlon™ XP-M processor 2500+
RAM: 768 mb DDR SDram
HD: 60 GB
Video Card: ATI radeon 9200 mobility
motherboard is made by acer only, cant give you a name.

Is it only in RTS games? Do you get any other texture corruption in benchmarks or other genre games? The video card might be overheating since it's a lappy (or integrated video depending on the model).

Also, did you do a clean driver installation with Driver Cleaner for example?

hey,
I unistalled the ATI drivers for my notebook first (including the Control panel) but i didnt use the driver cleaner, Also it's only in RTS games, FPSs seem to be running perfectly, havent tried other games, but i dont think this has to do with my Video Card overheating, cuz when i use the non-omega drivers, it goes for 10 minutes of play before it gets corrupted, and its not even lukewarm yet. and the green stripes problem is only with the omega drivers.

thanks.

Strange issue, I haven't heard of graphic corruption being 'genre' specific so to speak. Try removing the drivers from the system, boot into Safe Mode, and then run driver cleaner and clean out the system. Then reboot and try the reinstall again. Does Acer have specific drivers for your system? Since the video card is likely a proprietary component it might need specific drivers from Acer\ATi in order to work. Such is the bane of (some) mobile gaming systems.
