Horizontal Lines on TV-Out

I've got an AIW 9800se when I use video mode to watch my videos on my tv-out (in pal) I get lines going across the screen. But when I use overscan the lines aren't there. I suppose I can use overscan but the desktop gets cut off at the bottom. It can't be the drivers (new Omegas) as it has been doing it in the last few Catalyst versions.Any ideas how to fix it.

System Specs

Do these lines occur across the very top or very bottom of the displayed image? If so...

You are likely seeing the horizontal lines that are normally not seen (are usually overscanned off the visible screen by the manufacturer) in broadcast video material called the vertical blanking interrupt (VBI), or something similar.

The same kind of lines are apparent if you decrease the vertical size of your television while watching a videotape. There are horizontal lines at the bottom of a picture shown on videotape that are needed for the servo circuity of the VCR to synchronize/lock the video signal from the video heads for output to your TV.

There probably isn't much you can do unless your tv has some settings you can change. Turning on overscan for video and off for Windows material might also be a way you can deal with the situation.

The lines are all over the picture. Some scenes its not very noticable. It's weird that it only des it on video mode and not overscan.

Is it like lines scrolling down the screen? May be that your software is setting your refresh rate too low in full screen mode, and your seeing the screen refresh.
