Omega/Plutonium XK1.0.71 Drivers (For Windows 2000/XP)

Yeah, I have them tested and working, along with a ton of help from Omegadrive (most of it is his work (tweaks, etc.).) These will work with Windows 2000 and Windows XP and are based on the 6071 driver.

The drivers are using a new installer, which automatically detects your version of Windows, if you have any problems with this when they are released let me know.

Also the installer now lets you pick which of the extra utilities you would like. The file size is 14.9mb. No WDM's are included, but I will be posting my edited version of the 5120 on my site, and Omega may also link to it.

I am uploading the driver now, and it will take another hour and a half. The DVD TV-Out patch that was previously on the site, has now been integrated into the driver itself. Some other issues have been fixed. The driver also still has the same custom resolutions and refresh rates.

RefreshLock 2.01 is now included instead of Refresh Rate Fixer 0.996b, because it has fixed the issue with it not working with OpenGL programs. Also the ATI "WinCLK" Radeon Clocking Utility is also included, but it lacks Overclocking at Startup, so that may be a drawback for some of you, however, it does not use any regestry entries or such, so it is a lot safer, if you screw something up.

NOTE: This is not for Windows 9x/Me, only Windows 2000/XP, and if you try to run the program in Windows 9x/Me, it will not continue.

I'll post again, when the driver is uploaded.

are there any improvements for xp users or is this mostly just for win2k?

Not a lot of XP improvements, a couple. (Should talk to Omegadrive, as he did a lot of the tweaking for the drivers.)

I'm working on the revision right now, making sure there are no errors like in the first release with the tweaks, they will be ready in no time.

OK, now I am uploading the *FINAL* (I HOPE!!!) version. It works on Win2000/XP and the installer pretty much does everything for you. (Its all automatic.)

Read my first post in this thread for more info. It is still 14.9MB.
