8.07 = 4.11 beta drivers
4.9 = official right now
4.10 will be next and it will be 4.11 beta drivers whql'ed - CCC will have options for catalyst AI, and instancing should be disabled due to whql requirements.

at least i beilive so.

I stupidly made a completely new thread, whilest skipping this one somehow, so might as well add it to this convo.

Will it not be more benificial to just download the latest CCC from the 4.10 release and keep the beta8.07's installed?

If what MindlessOath says is right then we'll be keeping instancing support that way, not that its used much, but we'll also keep the 256 memory glitch fix as well?

the new drivers to come will have instancing included per the new CCC (it should be disabled tho).

it will also include catalyst AI

and of course the 256mb memory fix, etc.

and it will basically have WHQL and possibly more bug fixes, but its based on the beta 8.07's that were released not to long ago. a full list of fixes and performance figers will be released.

I read somewhere that the 8.07's are the 4.11's as well though. And considering that ATI beta test drivers way ahead of time this doesn't seem to unlikely neither.

It's a bit confusing, by the numbering scheme technically the 8.07 drivers are supposed to be 4.11 since 8.05 is 4.9... but they are referred to as the 4.10 betas so I don't quite understand either.

yes like i said AGAIN.

8.07 is 4.11beta drivers. they opted to release it earlier to beta because of the AI feature, and certain games and release scheduals etc.

but they will call the 4.10 when the release. why, because thats the way it goes, 4 is the year, and 10 is the month... look at the build numbers instead

and the 8.07 beta's that are out ALREADY HAVE AI capabilities. why dont u see it? because its a feature of the next CCC panel.

its just like when ATI released 4.9B before releasing 4.8!

also the 8.07B driver, the AI was partially on i believe so thats why you download OMEGA 8.07 if you want CAT AI !

Time is ticking... yet no new Catalyst drivers in sight.

Hope it gets released soon, tomorrow would be good!

Anyway, at least the latest Omegas sits pretty nicely in my comp.
