overclocking on 3d

i havew a 9800se all-in-wonder it only ever worked ounce with the softmod and never has worked since for some reason it opened 8 pipes and worked wonders but now since i reformatted it wont clock to an pro has anyone had the same problems?

also overclocking with 3d does anyone know a safe core and mem i could overclock it to ?

these cards are not garantteed to work with softmods. if it worked before and not now, then thats just to bad (no really). its hardware and your trying to do something it wasnt made for.

as for safe core and mem, try ati-tool, i belive thats the one, has a "find core" and "find mem" option - lowers it when a lot of artifacts are shown.

i have tried it but it goes on for days...whay is that?

it never stops. it just sortof hovers around the best speed. Let it fun for like 30 min and it usually finds the right speed.

btw I've had softmods work for awhile...then stop working...then work again.

its an odd business.

you could try using rage3d tweek to get your pipelines enabled. I hear they are good.
