Sometimes in drivers if you enable a secondary display device it will make both display the same resolution. And just so you know the correct 1280 resolution is 1280x960 NOT 1280x1024. The 1280x1024 is just a bad habit from when a monitor used on a Silicon Graphics workstation used that aspect ratio. All the other resolutions that are normally available are 4:3=1.3333, but the 1280x1024=1.25 and even some games only offer the wrong resolution and not the correct one, go figure.

There is one very nice proggie called UltraMon (currently at version 2.5), wich enables different resolutions on different screens. Yes, you can have 1280x1024 on monitor & 720x576 (or any other) on TV in same time... But, as Gunny Highway stated, if you want just to watch movies on TV, use Overlay/theathre mode. Question: IS THERE ANY WAY TO SET CUSTOM Overlay/Theatre mode RESOLUTION?!? Any just what's the default res.?
