Radeon 9000 Mobility TV OUT Question

Is it possilbe that I can have my regular monitor setup at: 1280x1024
but have my TVOUT setup at 720x??? for proper TV viewing?

I can't figure out how to do it

If you mean that you would like to see video played on you PC on full screen on your TV, then enable tv-out and just enable the Theater Mode in the Overlay tab, in the Advanced options in Display properties. This will play video regular like in a window on the PC but always full screen it on the TV.

Sometimes in drivers if you enable a secondary display device it will make both display the same resolution.

And just so you know the correct 1280 resolution is 1280x960 NOT 1280x1024. The 1280x1024 is just a bad habit from when a monitor used on a Silicon Graphics workstation used that aspect ratio.

All the other resolutions that are normally available are 4:3=1.3333, but the 1280x1024=1.25 and even some games only offer the wrong resolution and not the correct one, go figure.

There is one very nice proggie called UltraMon (currently at version 2.5), wich enables different resolutions on different screens. Yes, you can have 1280x1024 on monitor & 720x576 (or any other) on TV in same time...

But, as Gunny Highway stated, if you want just to watch movies on TV, use Overlay/theathre mode.

Question: IS THERE ANY WAY TO SET CUSTOM Overlay/Theatre mode RESOLUTION?!? Any just what's the default res.?
