Omega drivers cannot run awesome Mac screensaver Flurry
This screensaver does not work with Omega 8.07 drivers. (2.5.9.0).
The different presents all equate to the same one. In configuration only single buffering works, the smoother double buffering and accurate double buffering do not work, you get stuttering with the first and a garbled screen with the second. I wonder why. |

Are you sure?
Because if you are then the new Bios released by Sager is at fault, and about a thousand people have been ripped off by the OEM. Please confirm; that in the configuration (right click .exe) only single buffering works, the lazy double buffering and accurate double buffering do not work, you get a garbled screen with the first and stuttering (1 fps) with the second. http://www.maddogsw.com/flurry/ |

Runs fine in all three buffer modes on a R9800pro with Omega 8.07.

i can confirm, that there are problems with omega 2.5.90 drivers. i had running this screensaver with single buffering for some time now so i didn't notice anything. just tried both double buffering modes and it's exactly the same problem as you have: a garbled screen with the first and stuttering (1 fps) with the second.
i have a madview radeon 9800se @ 9800pro. i remember when i first installed the screensaver, all buffering modes worked flawlessly. -andy- |

Yes, me too, I updated to Omega 2.5.9.0 and changed my Bios at the same time so I didn't know what was at fault.
Now I see other people on notebookforums saying they have the same problem with the new Omega's but not with the old 2.5.44s. So I am beginning to think that it's the drivers not the Bios. PS: The different presets in reality change some pretty cool effects, but in this scenario have no effect. Thanks guys, I guess we gotta wait for the new Omega's. |
