ATI MMC 7.8 DVD + DX9Beta3 = failed

Has anyone else noticed an error: Macrovision initialization failed. when trying to run the DVD player on MMC 7.8 using directX9 beta 3? I'm using driver version 6193. Anyone know of a fix or atleast noticed the problem?

Try the new WDM drivers:

ATI Win 9x/ME WDM driver

ATI Win 2000/XP WDM driver

Yeah, but there WDM drivers... Sorry I didint have my specs in my sig. I'm running W2K /w sp3. I'd actually like to get it working with this driver set in the mean time and see if the next solves it. I think it has something to do with DX9 beta 3.

I have problems with XP, Directx 9 beta 3 and MMC 7.8 two.
All programs work fine, but the TV aptlication isn't able to
capture anything.
Other capture software like VirtualDub are running.
I tried the Omega 8.1 and the newest Ati Drivers, but both
give the same result.

Has anybody a sollution.

Thats why they are beta drivers

Because they have bugs

Solution: Don't use DX9 beta drivers

... That was my solution renegade. I went back to DX8.1b

ok, i've restored to directx 8.1 now, but that doesn't seemed
to work two. When trying to capture, no capture window appear
an no capturing will be start.

What drivers do others of you use with an running MMC 7.8 ?

I'm using the 6193 driver set Michael_HH. I'm not using an AIW card however so I unfortunatly have no capture options.

ok, now i have removed every ATI entry in the registry an
installed everything new.
The problem seems, that the TV-program (7.7 )from the MMC 7.8
isn't able to capture to a NTFS-Partition.
Has anyone the same problem an a sollution ?

Can anybody look through the error logs and see when is Macrovision loaded. Will the macrovision disabling work as listed in the macrovision post?
