Mobility Radeon 9800+Omega=Certain video problems?

Howdy! I've had this problem for awhile and just sort of forgot about it, but does anyone have any problems with certain 'videos' running really really slowly and all corrupted in games like the 'EA' openings in the EA sports and EA games? Or even on an older game like the video that runs in the background of the menu on Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries? I'm using the 8.07-based Omega drivers. Thanks!

I am sure it is not it but I will say it anyway because it can't harm you and it might, less than 1 percent, help you. People used to say that it is better after you install new graphics drivers and reboot your pc, to also install again the latest directx version.

Try installing Microsoft Windows Media Player 10. There is a video acceleration feature included with the latest driver that needs WMP 10 to work. Or try turning off the WMV Acceleration in the display options. What you get might not necessarily be related to this, but it's worth checking out.

Downloaded and installed WMP 10, still corrupted. Also, WMV accelleration was already off, as I remember trying that awhile back. :0( Does anyone else have any other ideas? Thanks for the suggestions!

Nevermind! I figured out I had an older version of ffdshow installed that doesn't handle mpegs. (Says it's broken in the config). After disabling it, it's fine now. Thanks for the help! :0)
