Catalyst Maker didnt say special game, but Hot new game. But If HL2 is insinuated, well, that's very very good news.

damn... i knew i shoulda waited

didnt know it was going to be this fast. i thought mabe tuesday at the latest, like it was hinted in the chat yesterday. and i thought their was no way no how, that something would be released on friday.

i guess the new game HL2 is good enough for these.... any other new games comming out sooner?

i hope omega makes his release off these, as they dont include a CCC spacifically for it (from the looks of it)... unless im wrong.

Someone asked me if I would use the official 4.11 or the beta 4.12.

My answer is I would use the newer betas. If i found a problem in them then I would roll back to the 4.11's

Im gonna miss the 4.xx series :-(

After we post 4.12 official next month we are off to the 5 series!

Counter-Strike Source benchmarks (HL2 engine)

highest quality - no AA/AF - R9800XT - DX9c

4.11beta tweaked as hell:93fps
4.12beta without any modification:98fps
4.12beta with secondary adapter disabled and tweaks:108fps

ill add few tweaks and post results

p.s.
i must take off my hat because the 4.12beta looks very good and probably it gonna be the best release ever

I know that if I was on dial-up...I would probably hate this...but I love these driver updates every month or so. I love putting in fresh drivers with new features and better framerates

I really love these beta releases. Imo they really show how aggressive you (and your team) are being, and how much you want to be the absolute best.

We've seen some great things out of the Catalyst program. Kudos to you and your team.

2 driver releases in 1 day!! BRILLIANT!!!

I hope that Omega makes his new drivers off of the beta 4.12 drivers and not the official 4.11 ones...just like last time when Omega skipped the official 4.10 drivers and just based his latest release off of the beta 4.10 drivers!!

the Omega 2.5.90 (based on the Catalyst 4.10 beta) were the best ATI drivers ever!!!

This week we have posted

New Linux driver, New Windows ME/9X driver, new Ehome Wonder driver, new HDTV wonder, New official CATALYST driver, and now finally new CATALYST beta driver.

I'm spent.
