Serious Issue with Omega 2.5.90

Hi There!
It's my first post here^^

I've had some serious issues with installing and running the latest Omega Drivers. Whereas usually an installation over the previous installed Omega's worked pretty fine, it failed this time. I ran the Setup over the previously installed Omega 2.5.58 - so far so good. However, after reboot, the PC crashed on the SmartGart Tests (this did not occur anytime before). After reset, I was able to boot exactly one time. I then configured the drivers to my preferences (VPU Recover OFF) and tried to play a Game (SW: KotOR). But the Screen went black after a few seconds in the Menu. After reset, i wasn't able to boot anymore (wheras the Screen should went blue and mouse pointer get loaded, there was just nothing, I'm using Win 2k BTW, Radeon 9600 Pro).

So i tried VGA & Safe Mode, messing a bit around, to no avail. Finally, I uninstalled the Drivers and ran Driver Cleaner. I then installed 2.5.58 again. Everything went fine, no crash on SmartGart test.

During my first attempt, i still had my TV connected, so i thought that might be the problem with SmartGartn and so on, so i installed the 2.5.90 again, but the crash appeared again. However, after I was able to boot again with 2.5.90, I set everything again (VPU off, correct Refresh Rates etc) and tried some games (DirectX, like AvP2). They worked fine. Then i tried SW:KotOR again, this time it worked quite fine, I played a while and was happy that the silly "crash on load screen" seemed to be gone. However, as i tried Doom3 the PC would freeze everytime i tried to load a saved game. I also encountered a weird problem with TV-Out: I was able to switch to it, do things (watch Movies, gaming etc), but as I switched back to PC, i just encountered a screen full of yellow blocks with remaints of the former screen content between them (i hope you can imagine what i try to tell^^).

Since the entire process was going on for hours by now, I got quite... "emotional" and extinguished the Drivers once again from the face of my Hard Drive. Now I'm running 2.5.58 again and everything works like charme, apart from the silly KotOR crash wich is back again.

Where is the point in this post? Well, maybe someone has at least a little clue for me why all this would happen, why SmartGart failed, or that pixle-penetration when switching profiles...

So the day ... umm... btw, I still think Omega is a Chiefmaster^^

Edit: Btw, I also tried to immediatly install newest Radlinker over the Drivers, but it had no effect at all...

Well it stated that his drivers are based betas so on your configuration it was no go. :-(
But he will soon be out with a new set so :-)
