Pissed CCC really really slow

I installed the catalyst control center after installing the 4.12b catalyst. Apparantly CCC is very slow to work around with. Any setting i click/change - its takes abt 1-2 min to put into effect and the CCC is unusable during that period - looks as if the application is hung (CCC screen messes up). I have the latest .net framework 1.1 and even 2.0 beta.
Its even slower when that CAR demo preview is going on.
I have tried reinstalling, clean installing the CCC, still no effect.
Card: X800XT PE from HIS.

you say you have .NET 1.1 AND the 2.0 Beta....

you onyl need to have one installed...if you have both that might be your problem

also, .NET 2.0 beta 2 is out, if you have the 1st beta

I guess it should be fixable apart from the 3D demo inherent slowness, but you could always try the Omega drivers alternative. http://www.omegadrivers.net/

i was wondering about this too... i tried the very first CCC beta and haven't touched them since... its a great idea but it needs more work and i figure i'll wait until its more stable until i switch over...

Well, I was using omegas till yesterday, when I upgraded to the 4.12 finals. Will wait for his next release.
