4.11 and 4.12 beta driver problems

Well, i have to say when there are not horrible purple aritfacts covering my screen in CS:S, i get great preformance. But, when im in the game every level in different places have these purple artifacts. It seems for some reason to be the worst in Dust2 and Italy. My card is a 9600xt, not overclocked, it doesn't even have overdrive on, im hoping i can get help with this before the release of HL2 =).

did you use the driver cleaner before installing them?

ok, well, vsync is off, i did the driver cleaning, and i still have the problem... i think i might just have to roll back to 4.10 omegas or something...

*edit* i just did a test, and when in CS:S i set mat_bumpmap to 0 and the problem went away, but of course, i now have no bumpmap... that sure lets it shows its true colors with the source engine.

any ideas?

well i had a problem with 4.12 beta drivers, at start up screen goes hay wire on me. says that no ati driver installed. has anyone ran across this problem yet? if so how to fix it.
