Unian 4.12b's crashing NFSU? Get it only using these drivers?

I get the "speed2.exe has encountered an error and had to close" blah blah blah. When I switch to the catalyst 4.12b's it runs fine.

Any ideas?

Data Execution Protection

its kind of a hardware level protection built for the Athlon 64 chips (as AMD had added this technology) which they decided to add in SP2

Hey Trev.

I disable DEP for all the games I run as well as programs it interferes with.
I suggest you do the same. (Win key+ Pause break>Advanced>Performance_Settings>Data Exe...)
True it's software that calls on hardware to support it if it is present but still, MS will try to implement it to "protect me" from certain types of attacks.
This coming form an OS whose middle name is "contains a vulnerability that may allow a remote user to take control of your machine". All while playing you a catchy tune.
Oh well it has more game support than *nix still so...

I haven't tried the new UniANs. I'll grab them now that you mention it.

Nah, if that was the case, we'd be getting more problems if he had an Athlon.

Yeah I travel around allot. Did disabling DEP help?
I grabbed the UniANs but haven't had the time to play with them much.

Well only option that I have is "enable dep for windows system files only" and "enable dep for ALL files except the ones i select"

I don't want DEP on all the files do I?

Nope.
Browse to games and apps you don't want it on in the last option using add.
