Weird problem with mobility radeon 9000......
Ive been getting these with the default drivers, and the updated drivers from toshiba's page(its a toshiba tecra S1 laptop).
This happens when running Dawn of War.It basically causes the entire laptop to freeze and not respond.Taken from event viewer : The driver ati2dvag for the display device \Device\Video0 got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly. Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates. I got omega drivers to see if it helps, havent gotten a crash yet,but i need to test more to tell. One thing though......when i alt-tab out of games, the desktop suddenly resizes itself to something like 960x720 from 1024x768,and i have to change the resolution back again. Why does this happen? Edit : Uh...can anyone tell me how to get back to the old ATI style of color changing with the bar + round button?Somehow changing the brightness using omega's brightness bar actually makes my eyes hurt.... |

If this happens with a particular set of drivers - downgrade.
The general troubleshooting path: Enable/disable fastwrites, clean up the drivers with DriverCleaner, install latest chipset drivers. Test your RAM for faults (always beneficial) using memtest86 or similar programs.
