Nascar Racing 2003 causes reboot

Hey All,
I'm using the latest Omega Drivers with an Mobility Radeon 9600 on my laptop. More often then not, when I fire up NR 2003 and hit "Drive" to enter the game, the computer crashes and reboots. When windows restarts, this is the error code it gives:

BCCode:1000008e BCP1:C0000005 BCP2:F703C772 BCP3:EF4E2970
BCP4:00000000 OSVer:5_1_2600 SP:1_0 Product:768_1

I send the error message to Bill and it says it is a problem with the video adapater. I've tried various setting both in game and with the radeon itself. No joy. I've yet to find any common element to pinpoint. Sometimes I can actually enter a race and have the computer suddenly crash after playing for 30 minutes or so.

This problem occured with the previous edition of the Omegas too. As well as with the original drivers from ATI that were installed on the computer when I bought it.

Any ideas?
