Nice!

Woted 10, since these are the best so far. There's one thing bugging me a little: games (HL2 for one) sometimes accept FSAA and AF settings that I make in ATi Control Panel, and sometimes not. Any ideas why?

Gave it an "8". The reasons I didn't vote it higher:

- Catalyst Control Center needs some revision and fine tuning.

- No Overdrive option for my card (Sapphire 9600XT 256mb)

- Catalyst Control Center causes graphic stuttering issue with Call of Duty United Offensive multiplayer, at least on my card. 4.12 using classic ATI Control Panel does not cause the same stuttering, so it has to be either CCC or .Net Framework responsible.

Main reason I voted it an "8" and not lower:

- Actually beginning with 4.11, they apparently fixed a memory allocation bug that was holding back full functionality on the 256mb cards. Nice to get full use of the 256mb I paid for.

I rated it an 8 or a 9 (I don't remember and I've just vote *sigh* my memory isn't that good these days, lol).

Reasons?

+Wmv acceleration still doesn't work correctly (I know it's not your fault, but I need them to work because otherwise I can't view correctly the wmv videos that have extreme quality)

+There's no help file that explains the options of the 3D stuff, such as AI and fsaa (even if I already know what they mean).

I am mixed, the display driver only might be very good, but I just about have to load the media stuff too as I have a AIW card. I had quite a tussle with something. Now that it is behind me I am still gunshy....I did not load the control panel or the Cat Control Center, I did load the Multimedia center. all seem to be fine now! Super! I did a 7 for my troubles, might not be fair....

I think it would be a great idea if there were a link from the drivers to this page in particular so that people can find their way to the help. Also translations of that help page to several languajes and more detailed explanations of what each thing does would be great.

Hope this doesn't get stuck and un-read.

Sad Could someone help me out?

I've got the ATI drivers, not any third-party drivers, and i am having a little trouble with my AGP settings. For some reason dxdiag shows agp acceleration as not being available, and i cannot increase it at all from the driver control center. I am currently running a Radeon 9000 pro with 64mb ddr and a bus speed of 67Mhz though it was on 66 (no overclock) when i tried the increase. If someone could clue me in on something i'm missing it would be dandy.

Brad

P.S.
Should i upgrade my card nowdays? I've got an Athlon64 3000+ 2.0GHz, 2*256MB Dual channel ddr, and Chaintech's ZNF3-250 mobo, and i am seeing extreme chop while running Doom 3 (with lowlowlow settings). Thanks a lot for feedback!!!!

lol... 9000 pro was never fast card. Not even when it was new. It has always been a budget card, soif want to start gaming, that one is NOT the way to go

As for the AGP thing... sounds weird, are you shure it doesn't let you "disable" it instead of "enabling" it? You should try to update you mobo bios too just in case.

Ciao!
