hello, newbie here.
i recently purchased an AIW 9600. For the past 5 days, i've been trying to figure out what's missing or what's wrong. The games are playing well so far. TV is running well-- HOWEVER-- as soon as i touch any features for TV on DEmand or PVR-- the system freezes. I've done the PC check- and it's telling me that there are no capture driver?? I've tried downloading the 9.03 (unistalling the old..and also doing driver cleaner..but to no avail--i think perhaps i didn't do it right)... I purchased this for some gaming (not a hardcore) and also for TV and PVR purpose--- and now i hear that it comes w/ an FM tuner (although i have the 'base model..nonpro/xt/se..etc))... Should i just get separate units-- ATI or Nvidia graphics card and a seperate TV tuner-- like a USB type? Help!! E

Hmm.. I have very little experience with AIW cards, well in fact, I have zero experience with them and I'll tell you why.
Unless you're going to be constantly upgrading your AIW card to the greatest, I see AIW cards to be very restrictive. It costs more than the regular card, and when the time comes to upgrade you have to get AIW card to keep the Tuner ability. Save the hassle now and get a solid TV Tuner (I mean a solid one, trust me don't go for those sub $100 tuners) and a regular 9600 PRO or even a 9800 PRO.
