UberLord will become famous soon enough

Woooooo - now I just need Atheros (or NetGEAR) to produce some 64-bit wireless drivers and I'm good to go pure 64-bit

Kinda silly really - Linux needs 64-bit ATI drivers and has 64-bit Atheros drivers, Windows has 64-bit ATI drivers but needs 64-bit Atheros drivers

Head spinning!

I haven't tried it but couldn't you install the CCC from the 32bit drivers and see it it works for the 64 bit ones? You would probably have to remove the control panel from the 64 bit drivers to allow CCC to work.

EDIT: Just tired to do this and it works, almost. First thing you need to do is visit microsoft and download the .net 2.0 beta for X64, this comes with the runtime for x86 applications as well. When you do that uninstall the catalyst control panel and install the CCC from the 4.12 drivers (may work with older versions but I haven't tried). After you restart to run CCC use the desktop shortcut, neither the context menu from the desktop nor the advanced setting for the display show a link for CCC. If nothing seems to happen when you double click the shortcut be patient, it gets there eventually (I should also mention that installing the .net 2 beta takes forever to install and throws up an installer error near the beginning) After a while the CCC splash screen appears and then after an additional wait the control centre itself appears. Now for the bad news, only some of the options seem to work, you can mess around with the displays and colour settings, but anything 3D related seems to get ignored. I guess that the 64bit drivers rely on different registry settings to the 32bit ones and just aren't getting changed by the 32bit CCC, you can verify this by looking at the 3D preview, changing the antiailsing settings or trying to set a smartshader effect just seems to get ignored and the same image is displayed. Back to the old control panel I guess.

the control panel for this driver is compiled for 64 bit, not 32 I am not going to mix a 64 bit driver.

Thats not a viable solution.
