Omega 2.5.97 crash problem

I installed the new Omega drivers recently (after uninstalling the previous version of the Omega's) for my ATI Mobility Radeon 9000.

Now, for some reason, on some games (e.g. sid meirs pirates) the game will run fine for about 10->20 minutes and then the sound will cut out and a second later my laptop just shuts down - not properly, the system just cuts out and doesn't restart.

However, for some reason, it does not seem to do this with Counter-Strike Source, that runs fine.

Any ideas as to why this might be??

:I have an AMD Athlon XP 2500+, 512 MB DDR RAM, 64MB ATI Radeon Mobility 9000.
