Sapphire Radeon 9600xt 256mb and Catalyst 4.6-4.12

I'm a owner of Sapphire Radeon 9600xt 256mb (without overdrive model).
PCB# 35-FC29-D0-02; SKU# 11029-00-40.
The problem is with installing any newer catalyst than 4.5.
Cat 4.6 - 4.12 doesn't work !
After installing cats 4.6 - 4.12 and after reboot , WinXP (and also win2k) freezes during win2k/xp loading. All catalysts older than 4.5 working ok.
So I suppose the card is ok.
What's wrong ? Cats 4.6-4.12 are not compatible wit my card?
I've tried omega , dna , tc drivers, but all of them based on cats newer than 4.5 also don't work.
I've used drivercleaner before installing newer cat , I've tried reinstall win.
It's all the time the same problem.
Any ideas ? Thx for help.

Best Regards
marcind

p.s
Rest of my config:
Asus P4B533-E , P4- 3.06 GHz HT 533MHz, 1Gb (2x512) RAM,
Power Supply 400w.

Yes. I've installed all of them : SP2 , dx9.0c , all winxp updates, .net.1.1 and also drivers for i845e chipset.
Yesterday I got an answer from sapphire tech support, that any software is perfect and they guess this card may not work properly with cats I want.
And they say "Wait for new soft early January '05"

Try running your AGP rate at 4x through the BIOS. Some people have reported a conflict between these cards and certain motherboards when trying to run 8x. Don't worry, your card will not perform any slower at 4x than it would at 8x.

I know about it. But my motherboard (i845e chipset) max supports
only 4x AGP So it doesn't resolves the problem.

what the last time you've formated and reinstalled from scratch?
Are you sure you've got the intergrated graphics disabled? via bios or jumper

Have the latest bios?

might even try the last build, it's marked is beta, but what they've done is when they stoped development, support they were mid makeing another bios update. They stoped were they wer complied it and set it up as beta.... Or it a complete update and they just didn't do the extensive testing they'd normally do.

They do that alot with discontenued boards but i've yet to get problems from thier beta bios

I formated and reinstalled last week.
I don't have ASUS P4B533-V , but P4B533-E (with RAID) and my motherboard
has any integrated graphics.
I have the latest beta bios 1015.003 , but I've also tried latest official 1014 and it doesn't matter. There is the same problem.
So I'm waiting for new cat 5.1

Play around with AGP Aperture at different sizes, see if that helps. I have same card, Sapphire 9600XT 256mb, it's one of the red ones not green ones (PCB color). It works with all versions of Catalyst. Make sure option in BIOS is set to initialize AGP first and not PCI.

I've tried all different AGP sizes (32,64,128,256 - max for my MB) - the problem remains the same.
