Escuse my ignorance but what is CCC and how do I disable it if it sucks, I dont see it anywhere maybe because I downloaded the smaller version of the drivers instead of the ones that require the .Net framework?

You answered your own question

If you dont like it just uninstall the CCC part of the drivers from the add / remove programs part of the control panel

The CCC stands for "catalyst control center" which requires the .net framewoark to run. At the moment it is nothing more than a "fancier" control panel. I would stick w/ the regular control panel for now until the CCC gets some bugs worked out and some new features.

I gave them an 8. I just tried them as Omega's 2.5.06 had problems and I had wanted to try the official Cat's anyway. I haven't had any problems with the set so far. The new control panel is sweet, although it is a bit big and everytime I run my pointer over the icon in the sys tray, the Zone Alarm icon indicates traffic so it's phoning home and I don't like that. The games I play run great as usual so no complaints there. All in all a good experience although Omega's are easier to use and I will probably go back once his 5 series are fixed. Good job ATI

Just don't try going to .net 2.0,once you have .net 1.1 and the CCC working ,thats where i ran into trouble.I had to reinstall/format,the CCC just would not load after uninstalling .net 1.1 and installing .net 2.0.I'm reloaded now with just 1.1 and the CCC is working nicely.I'll be weary of installing and uninstalling .net from now on tho.
