Lost Widescreen Flat Panel w/ 5.1

Help!

Used DHmod 2.1 to install Catalyst 5.1 and now my E-machines laptop only displays 1024x768 pixels and I can't roll back my monitor driver.

When I change resolution to widescreen it expands past the monitor display area (images are stretched wide), and when I choose not to stretch, it restricts the display to a 1024x768 pixel area and it still causes the desktop to "scroll" to display the full widescreen even though the panel itself would support it. There is an inch of unused screen on either side now.

The "monitor" shows "1024x768 flat panel" so it thinks that's all I have, but the actual flat panel is wider - but I can't figure out how to force it to see a different flat panel display.

Any advice on how to fix this?
