Ok, obvious problem. When I play the Imperial Campaign in Rome: Total War and I get to the battlefield, the whole battle map is black! When I move the camera up close to my units I can see them and the grass and buildings, but the actually map is black!!! Please fix this in the next Unian driver!

Another thing. It worked fine before with the official ATI drivers. I have never seen this problem until now.

If you have the Catalyst 5.1 Drivers all you have to do is to uninstall the control panel and then just install these.

I unistalled and reinstalled CS:S again (3rd time) just to be 100% that my freeze problem is not related to the graphic drivers but to the latest CS:S update. Anyway I won't know for sure until the download finishes and I get to play the game. This time however I'm going to try this Unian set to see how it fares on my games.

hope it works for ya, usually unian drivers are the most stable drivers out their!
tho that also depends on ATI's drivers first off, if those are not very stable than any modded driver may have troubles.

Steams great, I dont have that problem, try putting your Sound acceleration to the Basic via Controll Panel > Sounds > Audio > Advanced > Preformance.

It used to crash on mee when playing CSS, this somehow sorted my problem.

Thanks for the tip, but I did get to fix my problem at last. Anyway I installed this drivers and so far they're very good and stable. I got an average gain of 100-150 marks in 3DMark03 and also got a 3 to 5 raise in FPS in CS:S compared to the normal 5.1 Catalyst.

Trilogy is on a distinguished road

I had some weird things going on during the install. I got empty messageboxes with that nasty red exclamation mark on them. About ten during driver install and ten during control panel install. I deleted the previous Unian 4.12 drivers with it's own uninstall tool and rebooted after that of course.

I know about that I should had run through the drivercleaner but earlier drivers have gone fine through...

Anyway, everything seems to work fine, though I have only played some WOW so far (what else should I do with my life anyway?

WOW had some terrible performance issues with 4.12 drivers, especially on instances. Game started to "shutter" and it looked like watching game via dia show. I have to test this thing later on when I drag my humble Tauren Shaman to another deep...hole...

These drivers seem to be nice alternative to those Omegas witch I used for a long time. I got tired to those Radlinker problems and messing around with it... Atitool and Ati Tray Tools are way better for me. Cheers Unian.

If someone is interested about this "problem" and doesn't blame about me not using Drivercleaner on every driver release, so here comes my rig...

2400+ AMD Athlon thorou...
Asrock K7S8XE
1024mb DDR RAM
Club3d Radeon 9700.

dunno why you had the install problems. it sometimes happens with any kind of drivers (modded ones). i didnt use drivercleaner myself and worked fine, tho as you said everything works fine.

just make sure for good measure use drivercleaner next time - mabe it was a problem with one of the tools (did u uninstall a previous ati tool or ati tray tool etc).

uniANS are great!

i just switched from catalysts, to omegas, and now im on uniAN, and i can say i just got a 20 fps boost and theres no drop in detail.

only problem is that theres still shimmering. its not bad, but its there.

Decided to give these a try in the absence of the Omega 5.1's and so far so good.. Strange thing though is that using this set and Radlinker 2.028 I cannot enable Geometry Instancing on my 9600Pro. Never had any problems doing this with any of the Omega releases.
