Do they come with the CCC only?

I'm going to give them a whirl to see how do.

I have a little problem:

That's the third time this message pops-up and the driver fails to load.
I was previously running the Unian set so I removed them, rebooted the machine and then used DriverCleaner Pro before trying to install these. My only options were the Source Optimized Driver, everything else was left like it was. Any tips? My system specs are on my signature.

*EDIT* I forgot to mention that I downloaded the full version.

Install the Normal Catalyst 5.1 drivers -> reboot -> install DNA 3.6.5.1 should fix your problem

I'll try it later on since I'm no longer on my PC. Thanks for hte prompt reply.

Do you mind if I ask you why are the normal 5.1 drivers needed?

As you have unistalled everything by the first unistalling the driver -(> reboot ?) Drivercleaner procedure and not just installed them ontop of the Driver you were already running could give a problem, as I haven't tested it this way yet. But it might be something to work on for the next release..

Well you should have installed them ontop of the previous drivers but

Install 5.1 -> reboot -> Install DNA 3.6.5.1 should fix that

i see a couple of you guys have dropped a few points in benchmarks, have you tried the different driver installs?try a few out see what works best for your systemand you have to remember killersneak optimizes his drivers for games not benchmarksso whats a few dropped points here and there if your games run smoother

You should know the 5.1 set isn't the best set for HL2 at this moment. I'm also using the 4.12 based set myself because it works much better with HL2 / CS-S.. I wasn't planning on releasing a 5.1 set myself but loads of people were expecting / asking for it.. I still think this is a very nice set that the BETA testers and people from DriverHeaven helped allot..

I have reverted to the unians too, this is the first time I have had problems with the DNAs, anyway installing the DNAs over the Cats with CCC or installing the DNAs after a cleaning the previous drivers have resulted in problems, I still have to try installing it over the unians directly and also over the Cats w/o CCC, maybe that might work, but Killersneak its worth testing the 2 conditions where it was not working because I am sure many people are going to try that way...

ok, been playing around with these for some time now, i can't say thier amazing, actualy, i've never said anything is amazing ...

but thier solid on my rig. The beta i was running was solid... and the new options make things clean on install..

i'm happy. Although the problems i am having i thought were for a second DNA driver issues, but after fidling with other drivers.... i think my 9800 pro is dieing on me. NOT DNA's fault at all....

I'd recommend them If they don't work, post your problems and try another set...

By saying I lost a few FPS in CS:S I didn't meant to say they were a bad set. I have been running them since I got to install them and they have been very stable. The game has yet to crash like it did with the normal 5.1 set, so I think this is very good indeed.

Anyway I'm very happy that I can get to test different driver sets now that my card is a full XT. So good or bad, I'll still give it a try.

well, your drivers are great, but hl2 likes to crash on me alot with the DNA's, and also, shimmering is worse on the DNAs.

but overall, its a pretty solid Driver. just doesnt like hl2 on my machine.

aftering playing around with mutliple drivers. I found that the 5.1 DNA's are quite terrible in Half Life 2 engine (CS:S).... the omegas didn't do much better, but a little. same amount of artifacting. DNA and OMEGAS both are sweet in UT2004 (2048x1536 with 2x aa and 16xAF with a solid 85fps)

atm, i'm runing the officials and so far, it's the only driver that gives me excellent FPS in the Half Life 2 Engine....
