Hehe.

He means the digital radiance feature that everyone seems to think is coming, yet there has been absolutely NO official word about.

Think he means where is ATI's image enhancer promised a few months ago on these pages. (can't remember when tho) Nvidia's "Digital Vibrance" control has been requested by some ATI users who had the DV on their Nvidia cards.

I believe the term that was used was "Color Radiance' for this (maybe?) upcoming feature.

In the Omega drivers it is called "Color Fill" - is that what this is about? Or is that a different thing?

It's not a rumor.

Here is a quote from Andrew (ATI Dude)

Andrew: Automatic updates will be coming in 2005, as will the incorporation of HYDRAVISION into CCC. Some of the other features coming, include the new Color Radiance slider, a lot of new video functionality, new functions added to the CCC system tray, full support for the entire RADEON series of products, new HDTV functionality/wizard, plus a ton of other stuff, but I don’t want to give everything away ?

In radlinker there is a think called Color fill... Ir seems to be like a saturation setting. I think it actually works too. I haven't taken any screens to prove it yet though, but it seems to do something.

i couldn't STAND having any more color then i already got, NVIDIA's cards always seemed to have a dull look to them by default, so they needed it.

I add anymore color to my video, i'll be seeing the full color spectrum without any reasons, and it won't look pretty.

Yup, don't forget though, monitors make a huge difference. Mine needs some extra color saturation. Some have 100x more than mine, some don't have as much as mine. All depends.

Ah HA! I knew I read it on DH from the ATI dude himself. As I recall, DV is just nice to have *in case* you happen to need it. When I had my Nvidia cards, I used it quite frequently. Come on ATI, gimme gimme gimme

It's actually in the Radlinker- When you right click on a game icon or shortcut. It is in the "options" tab. If you want I can take a screenshot.

You need to set the "mode" selection to "advanced" in the shortcut tab before that becomes visible.

Honestly, an enhanced color control feature would be really cool. Thats the one thing that keeps me using an Nvidia card, I have one of each so I tend to swap them our Its kinda fun honestly, I get to use whichevers best for the game im playing at that time. Anyways I think itd be really great if ATi implemented a feature like this. I always look foward to seeing what new innovations they come up with and this happens to be one im VERY interested in.

Well, ah, >cough< I installed Omega's 2.5.06's and had major problems so I decided to try the Cat 5.1's with CCC . I lost alot of tabs in the properties menu with the Omega.s and things looked pretty grim so I switched. The Cat's arent bad at all and the CCC is cool, sorta, although I prefer Radlinkers functionality over CCC's. Don't shot me but the Omega's are hosed this time around. I've been using them for nearly two years now and thought I'd try something new. So I can't answer your question coz I aint using them....
