Catalyst 5 series and no overdrive?

it might be just my whacked out system or possibly i missed that they pulled it, but my over drive tab has been gone since the cat 5 series came out.. i have checked a few different tech sites that claims its still there .. i can't find a reg key to turn it on i. i have tried multiple CLEAN INSTALLS to turn it in.. where did it go who stole it form me.. whats the deal.. while it never made a huge increase and i can stil use radlinker or Ati tools to overclock i stil wonder why soem sites say i should have it and its gone both from the CCC instal or the panel instal.. suggestions welcome

on a side note whats a safe core overclock and mem over clock with standard cooling so far i have gotten 550 core 570 memory but im currious what others have hit

What I know, Overdrive can be found only if u have a XT video card.

If we knew your vidcard model, we could help alot more.

I have an ATI x800xt P.E. have always had over drive before weither it b with omegas drivers or the official drivers but since the cat 5's came out its gone.. i have been on other sites saying there are supposed to be ther

Do you turn off the ATi Smart or ATi Hot Key Poller services as soon as you install them? If you do, you will lose the overdrive feature. Anyway, just download ATi Tray Tools, Rad Linker or ATi Tool to overclock your card.

no i didint turn off anything to the best of my knowledge i just unintssalled ran driver cleaner and then reinstalled.. i justtrired to start the ATI smart service and it ran the stoped automaticlly

Well i fixed it.. i had to reinstall Mircosoft .net framework.. which is werid cause i had the same problem both with and with out the CCC ati couldn't figure out the problem and told me on the phone they would email me tomorrow with an answer *shrug*
