Checker Board on Omega HELP!

Hi Im new here and I need some help
I have a 9800SE and i just downloaded both o the newest drivers from ATI and Omega, but when I play Far Cry I get a flashing Checkerboard pattern across my screen,
ay help would be nice

Is the card soft modded or overclocked? checkerboard is an overheating core

Checkerboard = unsuccessful softmod. Install the drivers without the softmod (speed will drop significantly, but there will be no checkerboard).

don't worry about far cry, far cry along with doom3 will give almost any softmodd a bad time, either bare with it or play with better engines (such as ut2k4)
