brownstonemr is on a distinguished road

In-game setting or use CP/CCC settings?

What do you guys find works better....if at all.....setting the driver control panel for direct3d/opengel to what you want for AA/AF etc, or setting it to application preference?

For example in HL2 at the moment I have my CP set at application preference and then control AA and AF from in the game. If I was to set the AA and AF in CP to something other than application preference, would it really overide the HL2 settings and would I get better performance?

Thx guys.

If you have the game or the CP to a particular setting then you would get the same performance (although games dont support temporal AA)

ATI officially say only force AA and AF from the CP if the game doesnt natively support it though (not that it makes a difference)
