Omega + SoftModded 9800SE + 9200SE
I seem to be having and issue with the omega drivers, since upgrading to the new ATI drivers i am unable to softmod my 9800SE AND run my 9200SE in the same pc. The drivers once the 9800SE has been patched to pro seem to disable the 9200SE.
Does anyone have any clues on how to get these to work? I TRied... install Omega which patches the 9800se to 9800 Then use the default microsoft drivers on the 9200SE. HOWEVER this ends up overwriting the 9800SE drivers and i end up with it saying 9800 but it is declocked down to 9800SE because i miss artifacts in games. Any ideas? |

If you get artifacts in games when you softmod why do you want to do it? If you still want to run as a 9800, artifacts included, why not flash your bios? That way you don't need to use the softmod.

From what I know about softmodding, it forces a different device ID on your 9800SE. To do this, the driver inf file and some other files are specially modified, and include only that card in the list, so the other cards will not be detected (hence, this is normal behavior with softmod). You have 2 choices: Give up soft mod, if you need your 9200SE (for whatever reason you do) or flash your 9800SE to Pro (which may be more dangerous than you may think) and then you won't need to softmod.

Well if it worked before, then you should revert to the old drivers, and stay there until the newer version is released, and hope that OmegaDrive fixes it if he ever stops playing WoW
