exclamation TFT-Display flickers... Driver or hardware problem?

Hello Guys,

I have a problem with my Notebook-Display. Very often my Display flickers. The Brightness just goes up and down for a while.

Is it possible that the problem is caused by any driver setting or is that a hardware problem?

Some notes about my system:

Display: 15,4" WXGA BrillantView TFT-Display

Graphic Card: ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
Driver: Omega-Driver v.2.6.05a

Is it random or happens when you do certain things?

I couldn't see any logic in this flickering, so I suppose it is random.

Well, first thing I would do is call your laptop support. It sounds like what you are seeing may be a backlight problem. Have you tried different drivers and such? I would start with the driver provided and supported by the manufacturer to try and eliminate anything but the hardware problem. Post your results .
