What is going on with these drivers?, help

Every driver I have gotten my CCC never works. It eithier A) Never loads. B) Causes a fatal error. C) I have to restart runtime, but after that all my video in gams just stutters, like I am stepping through 2 feet of mud and can hardly wsalk. I have Network Frame 1.1 installed, I have done even FRESH INSTALLS on my operating system. I have done complete cab, and driver cleaning. Everytime their is always stuttering the in the drivers, I have YET to enjoy the x800 xt. I have yet to enjoy my gaming because of this. I would really like to know what is going on. My frames are always low, I can't even tweak my setting because these don't work right. Is their any drivers out their, that are working better at all? Why also when attempting to load CCC (by getting the Fatal Error) it's trying to read my Floppy Drive?? What is going on with this.

I am using Windows XP SP2.
Direct 9.0C
Net Framework 1.1.

I have similar problems on my old SP1 install- CCC works, but the different visual styles don't.. Other weird small bugs.

I installed SP2 on another drive and it works better- still slow as hell, and sluggish, and very unorganized, but it seems to work...

I would try a completely fresh install and don't mess with your services.- except of course the ones that are security risks and the ones like indexing, etc that aren't needed.

CCC is very picky about services, and need most to set to default it seems..
