I only run Omega's drivers and thats it. I did try the DH drivers, but they just don't do it for me.

Omega is still the best imo...

And yes, the fans need Omega!

Soon enough. In the meantime I'm playing around with having the 5.5's installed without either of the two ATI control panels, both ATI services disabled and using RadLinker for the settings. Works fine with my R9800 and if you don't absolutely have to use any of the control panel settings then you can play too.

I wouldnt think to ask WHEN! because it is obvious they will come soon and I will definately switch to them from the omega 5.4 since they are awesome drivers and updating overtop of previous sets is hastle free.

the 5.5s are a fairly nice improvement over the 5.4s.....give it some time, and you'll have your drivers

Small improvement???????????????????? ITS A HUGE IMPROVEMENT MY CSS IS 70% BETTER ON MY X800XL with the 5.5s. Now instead of FPS drops in De_port i get FPS constantly over 62-150. So im very pleased with the performance increase over the 5.4s. So if you can do better with these drivers Zer0point that would be greatly appeachiated. Oh and may the force be with you!

Cat 5.5 's improvements are based mostly on new cards such as X series. So it's normal to have dramatical increase in FPS on X card. But i think ati and omega should focus optimizations on medium or low range cards.ATI already optimizes drivers for high range cards.

Patience. Angel will be out with new drivers soon enough. The amount of work that goes into testing would make your head spin. For every little tweak he does needs testing to make sure that the new tweak, or adjustment doesn't mess up anything else that's been done. Sort of like programming. I tried it, and went semi-insane (but I'm much better now).. so.. I don't envy the guy, and will wait patiently.

Know what? I'm sure people would be happy with Omega versions of drivers every other month. People know Angel works his ass off to get the best outta the drivers he can, and I'm sure they'd be willing to wait for them. Right?

Anyways, here's hoping for new drivers... 'when they're done'.

From someone who does it you're right on with that, it can be a tremendous time consuming pain in my neck..... It's fun, but yeah, I know neither Angel or the DHzp team want to put out anything unless it's right.
