Hodidly is on a distinguished road

ati2mtag invalid pixel format

Please Help!!

I have an Abit NF7-M MB w/ a RADEON 9600xt video card.
I play CSS a lot, and recently within the last month I have been booted out of the game and into windows, or the game freezes and wierd noises emit from my speakers, or i have total shutdown of my pc with wierd alarms sounding off from my MB or VideoCard.

I have dl'ed the new chipset drivers from ati.com (5-5-igp_xp-2k_dd_cp_wdm_sb_gart)
And I have tried to DL the new drivers from ATI for my video card the (5-5_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu), as well as trying the (5-5_xp-2k_dd_cp_wdm), and also i tried the older version (wxp-w2k-ccc-8-082-041130a-019577c-english-only) 4.12.

After each and every fix i would go back to CSS and see if the same problem would duplicate and it has. I have tried to update my windows as well. I even reinstalled windows. I am using Windows 2000 Pro with the SP4 ver. 5.0.2195.

When i go into the event log i see the error message ati2mtag, and invalid pixel format.

I have also tried the registry fix with the;

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management]
"LargePageMinimum"=dword:ffffffff

This also did not work.

If you might be able to help me please let me know, i am a noobie so please let me know what other info u might need.

THANX
