Hmm.. there were no updates for CSS, but people have reported performance gains. Are those numbers average, or just a one-time thing? And did you have the same programs running and all that junk?

theres no reason that uninstalling CCC, rebooting, installing CCC, and rebooting again shouldnt be enough to make it work, seriously, CP is so much better, it just Does it...

Have you ran DriverCleaner after uninstalling the drivers? That might be the problem.. if not, I guess wait until tomorrow for ATI to release the drivers on their site with the CP. I like the CP better than the CCC, too, but we have to either stick with older drivers, or accept the jump from CP to CCC.

2) Brand new XL sized, grey "Property of ATI Tech X850" T-shirt
3) My X700 256MB PCI-Express graphic card that I used only for a bit of testing. I am not sure if this card works or is busted, but you get it as is. No refunds, no exchanges. Its just my engineering sample board. Consider it a cool paperweight if it doesnt work.

Simple rules:

I will pick a random post that is created starting from right now and until the time we post CATALYST 5.8 on ati.com tomorrow (about 23 hours from now i.e. 3pm Eastern time on Aug 17) .

To enter the contest just post whatever you have to say and at the end of your post put in "DH and ATI rock". The more you post the better your chance of winning.

At 3pm EST tomorrow (or around there), I will pick a random post on this thread starting from #63 (and assuming you have the magic phrase at the end of your post) and let Zardon know of the winner who will post your name on the front page of DH as the lucky winner.

- ATI employees are not allowed to enter (sorry CC)

BTW, if you have any old, used, abused, dusty, even crusty AGP cards laying around that are faster than a 9700pro- that would be a great prize for very loyal, but very broke DH fans. (like me!)

hehe.... can't blame a guy for trying.

Yes, thats correct, I can suggest .NET Framework 1.1 with updates. It doesn't really work fine with 2.0 Beta.

this is by far the most suprising act of ATI so far, but people don't know the REAL reason why ATI posted them a night before release. Isn't that right CM? coincidentally tonight (the official release date) is the same night Greece plays Belgium in a international friendly. Now if the release was only today, CM had to much work and couldn't see the game. ha! didn't see that one coming did you

but it' win-win for the both of us so I luv it hehe!!

ATI and DH rock!! (or was it the other way around)
Ps: good luck tonight (i say 1-2 for Belgium)

forgive me if you've answered this before (being shaped at dial up speed can really put a downer especially when browsing 23 pages, not to mention I'm trying to download the driver at the same time) but have you installed the .NET framework 1.1 yet?
