The CCC is damn nice if you ask me. I've been using the Omega 4.12s, and now I'm actually going to stick with these 5.8s.

I updated from the last omega's to these and seems to be quite an improvement for nsf underground of all things. Not sure why, but much smoother with my 9700pro. Still don't like the ccc, the panel has the odd freeze up - think it may be conflicting with my creative audigy 2 drivers or something.

I have to say that as i had more time to test out (Plus 2 hours on the public release Thanks to Z) these have to be the best drivers to date......

ATI.... if this is the drivers of the moment.....what are the future divers going to bring.....All ++++++ i hope..

Never had any serious problems with drivers in the past.....this is partly the reason i prefer ati than nvidia... (just my honest opinion).

And the CCC is improving every time......fairly quick to gain access with the 5.8's.

im actually gonna try and stick with CCC for this month.

i still dont like the inability to set DX and OGL AA and AF seperatly.

i dont know what changed with these drivers, but it also cured another problem i had.

before, any time i set AA under the DX area and then hit ok, my entire screen would distort and appear to be over lapping its self, but also be slightly off alignment so it made things hard as hell to see. with this set i can set them no problem and the screen doesnt change at all.

I find that it is sorta restrictive and I really hope they implement the choice to either customize both or just do it all in one go...

I didn't have time to install the drivers. Spammed to much. Going to install now- with the CCC. Hope it works out. It should with XP SP2 all updated though. Do these use significantly less memory? That would be cool, but even the last one I tried (5.6) didn't use that much after 5 or 6 reboots.

yes BWX very much less memory. Had it running this morning my my desktop.. Idle at 2 mb 20 swap. When running was 15 mb 50 in swap!

well i now don´t need to disable putpost FW adn AVG and internet to use CCC that is near perfection for me.
very responsive the drivers well they ouperform 5.7´s easily
