Catalyst 5.8 released (and on DH a day before ATI.com)!

yo dudes gotta ask you what ya think of those benches i posted(pictures) are they at "par" with my rig or is it somewhat low scores
personally i don´t think i can get much more withou OC the X800 and that is out of the quaestion so more likely i´ll go for a A64 3500+-4000+ somewhere there i think a 3200+ is´nt relly gonna make thins so much better that i pop my eyes out so more likely 3500 3700+ that will give perfomance boost compared to my present CPU

am i rigt or am i wrong?

I get about 40,000 with my 9700 pro.. Will bench the X800XL when I get it to compare.

What card is that in your sig? A straight up x800 or is it an X800pro or something?

it is a PowerCOlor X800 Bravo edition 12pipes @391/350 factory defaults so no it is straight X800 with 256mb GDDR3 1.6ns memory not many made with those memroy´s

TBred B @ 2.2ghz and 1 gig OCZ PC3200 EL platinum.... (2-2-3-11) 11 is faster than 5 or 7 on my Nforce2... It will run at 5, 7, or 11 though.. @200mhz... up to 220hmhz really..

atiacmxx.dll is the context menu file for CCC
1st off Why are you trying to install the drivers in safe mode

Uninstall and install the set again under windiw in normal mode is best,

Have you tried reruning the setup in the CCC setup folder,
C:\ATI\SUPPORT\5-8_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_25203\ACE
In the driver folder and choose repair install? see if you
see that error again...

Did the installer fail at that point? or just gave you that error?

All else fails register you can try to register it yourself
useing Regsvr32 just serch for the file and register it.

Hi. I'm having this same problem. I've tried the repair you suggested but get the same error message which occurs right at the end of the installation process, clicking OK takes you to the 'installation finished' window. Drivecleaner followed by re-installation doesn't help either. Is this file essential or can I manage without it? If I can't please could you explain how to do the Regsvr32 thing as I haven't the foggiest what you're talking about. I'm trying to install an HIS 9550 into a Dell Dim 4600 running XP home SP2. Thanks, Ben.

It that file that makes this show up on the context menu...

nothing magor....

If you find the file in the C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\
folder you just need, to goto start , run, then cut and paste the line exactly
as show below and click ok:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\atiacmxx.dll"
