He doesn't say anything about AGP for the high end versions.. It seems like he would have if he knew anything about it. It seems like ATI are phasing AGP out..

His 3DMark 2001 SE scores are not strange at all. ATI removed their driver optimizations in their 5x Catalyst sets for 3DMark 2001 SE. Actual games are not affected.

As for the 1.5.8 drivers i'll hold off installing till more feedbacks placed and i can get a better feel for them. I often use the NGO or Omega's when they release there's as they are normally a bit beeter on FPS.

It apears our senior DH and ATI rock!!!!!!!!!! analyst has passed out due to lack of oxygen to his brain... Doctors on the scene balive this is due to the shear amount of squeeling he has been doing sense he got his hands on the 5.8 drivers.

Now going over to our sports commentator also on the scene...

A few quick benchies:

Aquamark: 39,500
CSS VST: 53.6 FPS (4xAA, 8xaniso, 1280x1024, all options high)
3dMark2003: 8853

HL2/CSS seems to have gone up by nearly 2 FPS, my other scores are pretty close to the same as what I'd gotten in 5.7.
Anyway, time for poetry?
