visionmaster is on a distinguished road

NEW ATI Catalyst 5.8 x64 Drivers

ATI catalyst 5.8. When i install the software i get an error message [inf file is missing] and then [fail to set the install registry key] this also happens with catalyst 5.7. The drivers seem to work ok but when i try to open the control centre i then an error message saying [CLI.exe application error. Has anyone had this problem before and how can i fix it ?.

MSI K8N neo platinum M/B
ATI Radeon x800 pro
AMD 64 3500+
2 Gb ram
Sata Hard drive
windows xp pro x64

I don't see the 5.8's on their site in the x64 flavour.

Never had that problem with 5.7's either though.

Well so far I've had no problems at all with them. They're running great! I didn't have any problems with the 5.7's either so maybe it's something on your system stopping them installing properly or something??

I was told to install .net framework , which i did . Got it from Microsoft , this did the trick. Thanks anyway, iam a happy bunny now

I've been having huge problems with drops of framerates in games. I wish I knew which set of drivers I had on before my last hard drive bit the dust because these ones just aren't getting near the performance I was getting before.
