??? ultra fast spinning cubes in direct3d test...?

I've put on dx9 and the cat 3.0's. Running winXP and r8500 retail at 275/275. 3dmark crashed to desktop on shootout high detail level. Put in MOHAA and it looks and plays wonderfully! Still bugged about 3dmark crashing I go into dxdiag to check everything. All is ENABLED so that's good. I then go to test. DirectDraw no problem. Then the last test Direct3D and the cubes spin SO fast you can't even see the things hardly. On dx7, dx8 and dx9.... So you suppose the issue is with ATI cat 3.0's for r8500?

Since I don't play ANY D3D games (all OpenGL) I don't think it'll affect me I just wondered if I was the only one with that super fast spinning cube deal?

V-sync

You have v-sync disabled, so it's spinning as fast as it can. Enable v-sync and it'll spin normal.

Simple when you know

I have seen this effect on my rig too, and it just never occured to me that it had to do with v-sync, thankyou Digi.

Yeah those cubes are probably going at like 500fps without v-sync enabled
