Z Compression Mode
What does this do and what should i put this on for best performance?
On ATT it has 3 options, Default, 0 and 2. |

It has to do with Z compression and I believe its more quality than speed but 2 would (I assume) be full compression, Default being a balance, and 0 being no compression.

I suppose so. I remember fiddling with it in Rage3D Tweak way back in the day but it didn't have a day/night performance difference.

Ok, what about Z Top Disable and Mip Map Filter?
Should these be ticked for performance? |

More compression means more performance but it also sacrifices quality , if you are looking for performance select 2.Try and see
Edit:Yes what is Z Top Disable??? |

No! It will not increase performance! It will disable HSR - Hidden Surface Removal or in other words HyperZ. Read about HyperZ on ATI's web site.

Z culling/filtering/occlussion/yadda yadda deals with the "masking" of unseen surfaces, thus not forcing the card to render what isn't seen.
Example: if there's a tree in front of a barn, with HyperZ enabled, it won't render the portion of the barn masked by the tree, thus IMPROVING performance. Disabling it forces it to render the proper faces of both the tree and the barn, adding more work to the stack and slowing the card down. |
