I used Driver Cleaner (the latest version) for the first time today, and boy did I screw things up. I followed all the instructions shown in the readme for uninstalling ATI video drivers, but selected the ATI IGP cleaner as well, not knowing that it would completely screw my system up. Now, I can only get as far as the Safe Mode options screen, and no matter what mode I select it always reboots.
I know now that when I selected the ATI IGP, it deleted my Silicon Image Drivers for my hard drive. I got the files I needed and went in to Recovery Console, hoping I could just copy those files over and thing would be fine. Not so. Every time I try copy a file, I get an "Access denied" error. Is there any way I can get these files copied over, or am I screwed? |

WHY do you need two threads, in diffrent areas for the same post
http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthread.php?t=83716 http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthread.php?t=83709 A mod will lock this thread onc e when they see it.. ALL DISCUSSION ON THIS TOPIC SHOULD BE DONE OVER HERE http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthread.php?t=83709
