Lockups with Omega and Mobility X700

Hi,

I'm having some troubles with the latest Omega drivers and my Acer TM 8103. Every time I do a normal startup, it locks up when the desktop is loading. It works fine if I start in VGA Mode and change the resolution after it has started up. Does anyone have a clue what's wrong?
I tried the Catalyst drivers first, but got an error message that said it couldn't find any supported devices when I tried to install. This is the first time I upgrade the drivers since I got the laptop.
