I cant get these to install sucessfully, I get the BSOD and a hard reboot. I've uninstalled the old drivers rebooted in safe mode, ran Driver cleaner and tried both installing new drivers in safe mode and rebooting and installing drivers in normal mode, but they're causing my comp to crash

Edit: Ive finally gotten the drivers to install, I didnt use the installer, just installed via the device manager.

Edit2: These just arent working for me, Im getting pretty bad atrifacting in games Back to omegas

Well ive had nothing but bad luck so far with these, removed other ATI drivers with control panel, booted up in safe mode and cleaned the files with driver cleaner - so far so good.

Booted up in windows normal mode, logged on and tried installing the drivers, got a Install Shield error (1607: Unable to install Install Shield scripting runtime). No biggy i thought, so i just went into Device Manager and installed the drivers that way (Drivers folder, XP inf file). That worked up untill the boot again. Got windows started up, opened display properties and changed screen resolution... Screen went black, computer froze and rebooted itself, logged back onto windows and the screen resolution had changed to what i set, YAY! BUT everytime i change a setting in the video properties it keeps on doing this.. not always going black but it freezes on every slight change!

Any ideas?

Still can't install with Install Shield, getting the same error

Dannyboy, Im PMing you a fixed set link, that should take care of the installshield issues which may be causing your further issues. Let me know if that solves the problem.

Well, I installed this drivers, and I must say that im disappointed :'( I lost in BF2 around 10-20fps, in compare with the last Omega's. The IQ is almost the same, I dont see that much difference I dont see why there is such a big difference between those two drivers, all settings are the same...

have you enabled AA???

There is adaptive AA enabled by default, this is a lit slower then standard AA, test disable AA and run again, or disable adabtive AA with CCC.....

I am busy now, must go off, sorry, work is crying after me.

S@in OneZ!! is on a distinguished road

???

If he got the driver installed with CP its on by default and it can only be set to off through the registry, and that could explain the 10fps drop.

It was FnF on our dutch forum who told me about the 5.8 release of your driver, i was presently suprised by its IQ ánd performance.

I was allready testing the Adapt AA thingy, but in Bf2 in was a too big of a perf hit to maintain, but because adapt AA is only in 5.9 cats I was waiting for this release, but after installing it i noticed that on my CRT screen 1024x768 has still 120hrz as max refresh rate, on my 1600x1200 reso it is max 75hrz, and thats the reso i use in BF2, but on my desktop i set it to 1280x960@100hrz , but in these 5.9 Dhzer0s it is limited to 85hrz?!?

After deleting them and switching back to cat's 5.9 that 100hrz was possible again!?

I allready figured that with Adapt AA and even in combination with Temp AA on 1280x960 (thus vSync enabled) would preferably cap at 100 or 50fps, but with this driver only 85 and probably mostly 42(.5)....

Why is this!? (max refresh rate on 1280x960 is lower, and on lower and even higher resos the max refresh rate is the same!?)
