Omega vs plain Catalyst?
I got X800XT and want to update my driver. I've found a lot of info here and even got some answers. Now I wonder about the Omega driver.

I can answer #2 and that is no. Your monitor is capping you at that refresh rate and resolution because thats as high as it can go. If you tried to circumvent that you could kill your monitor.

as already mentioned..
If you are using a driver for the monitor you have, supplied by the maufacturer this will contain the info that stops the refresh rate going higher than they recomend... Plug & Play drivers may act differently but you will risk damaging the monitor. But this is not recomended. Monitor drivers are not connected to the catalyst drivers,as the cats don't contain monitor drivers.what ever driver you use you will get the same result. |
