DHzer0point Ati 0.511 Video Drivers Released

The DHzer0point drivers based on the Catalyst 5.11's are here, we've made some changes to our internal optimizations, cleaned up the chaff extensive testing done with FEAR, Quake4, as well as the oldies but goodies, Source based games, UT based games, we've put them through the ringer. Adaptive AA is enable-able (is that a word?) through the CCC or ATT, we're currently still including radlinker because it's an oldie but a great utility for per game profile settings and overclocking.

Included in the installer package....

Catalyst Control Panel
Catalyst Control Center
(Please only choose one of the control interfaces!)
Radlinker

-Source based performance drops are a thing of the past
-OpenGL performance improvements especially OGL2
-Shimmering fixed

EDIT: There may be problems with mobility installs with this driver set, our beta testers have been able to install on their mobility cards fine, but to be better safe than sorry we're uploading a very small fix that would fix any mobility install errors expect an updated version tommorrow if you experience issues installing on mobility cards with this set. No other changes, desktop users are unaffected by this.

The softmod driver is not included right now, but we're going to try to include it on the next release.

BF2 was also one of the games tested with the tweaks in this set. Give it a try and let's know what do you think.

BF2 wasn't singled out for anything in particular, over General DX and OGL improvements should be noticed acrossed the board...

Well uninstall the old Cat .511 drivers and CCC. Went to Safe Mode ran the Driver Cleaner and the cab cleaner. Reboot to desktop i install these drivers and after install i rebooted again. After reboot it gives me this error to where it tells me i have to insert the ATI CD.......

I have installed the Omega and i do not get this error everything is smooth install. So why can't i install these smoothly, i would like to give these a run in BF2.

Am downloading now and will try them. So what should I look for in Quake 4 and css? Faster fps or better IQ, over standard cat 5.11? Thanks

ignore the error, don;t let windows install anything, in fact disconnect from the internet, then run the installer after completely cancelling out of the automatic windows setup....

It'll do that it's looking for OEM drivers, simply ignore/close out of any windows installer prompts and run the DHzp installer. It's the first time I've encountered it with THIS set but I have seen it before...

for some wierd reason my monitor was not recognized and then on reboot the install said it could not find any ati device.no tabs were present in display properties. i did a full uninstall in safemode with dh dcpro with internet disconnected and did a complete search for anything ati or radeon or omega references.i tried it twice and no go.then when i installed ati officials windows file protection appeared and asked for sp2 cd.well my legal version of windows is sp1a and would not even try to look for needed files.i know your going to say i deleted something of value in my reg search but i do this with every install of every driver and have never had this kind of issue or any issue for that matter that didnt turn out to be driver related.i downloaded my lcd drivers and did a manual install and all seems to be fine but the file protection did appear and im sure i will have probs in near future.i have made mistakes in the past and most likely this is my fault but i thought i would post my issues and see if im the only one.i am going to bed and will read any response tomorrow evening.thx

well I installed the drivers and everything seems to have gone smooth however the adaptive anti-aliasing option is still greyed out in the CCC??? What is up with that? I am using an X850 platinum in my pc.

Wow man this is insane, I went from 80 fps average in the source stress test to 125fps average.

1280x1024
2xaa
4xasf

Plus my card is no longer overclocked like it used to be (560/600). I'm either on crack and just had the settings higher before or you guys did some damn good work.

AMD 3500+
2x512mb OCZ 3200 Rev2.0
Sapphire ATI Radeon x800xt Platnium

Going to go check FEAR and COD2.

trycatch, have you tried installing the drivers yet? what happens? have you tried manually forcing the drivers through the hardware manager?

We enabled it by default on x1800 cards by default only because some guys were saying that the performance hit was too much. I can send you a new file if you want to have it enabled by default or you can try the registry tweak mentioned on the AD AA thread if you to do it yourself.

trycatch,

This one is a first for me because I didn't knew there was a 9200M. (LOL). Do this:
1. Go back to the previous drivers you had.
2. Go to the Display Properties window, then click on Settings and finally click on Adapter.
3. Copy all the information under "Adapter Information" and send it to me via a PM.
Once you do that, I'll send you an updated file that will work with your card.

I was so happy to see the 5.11 DHz released! Zero's are the only drivers that work for me in all games (Omega/ATI either shimmer or have tears etc).

Only problem is that in Americas Army, it won't even let me play. I get into a server, then right before I choose my team it quits and I get a critical error. These didn't happen w/ zero's 0.59's.

I don't want to revert back to the .59's b/c they started to give me missing letters in CS:S, and these new ones are great.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I hope there is a fix for it somehow.

EDIT: hmm, also get missing leters in CSS still....i guess its my pc for some reason
