ATI DVD Decorder install Problem

I've an AIW card, comes with the cd, but i use the ATI DVD Decoder on my other machines also running ATI cards.

However, this time something is rather messed up.

Download the dvd download wizard, stick in the disk. It starts downloading and apon downloading i can click install.

this is where it is messed up.

It gets prepared to install it then spits out a warning/error stating that i must install via the ATI DVD install Web Wizard and that it will exit emediately.

wtf? As far as i can see, there isn't anything called that on ATI website (did a search) and the program that downloads the dvd decoder isn't called that either.

GO to the ATI site... download the wizard. Its there somewhere, trust me. The wizard will ask for your ATI CD.. so put that in. It will then DL the new decoder then install it for you...

Presto!

uninstall the old decoder first... use the wizard... and install the NEW decoder from the wizard... not from the downloaded file...

just make sure u uninstall old decoder... if this doesn't work your computer has issues... ive done the decoder install a billion times and it works everytime. the only time it wont work is if I try to install the new one from the downloaded file itself (it tells me i have to run it FROM the wizard if i try it this way)...

I've donei t probably just as many times.. this is the first time i've ever had the problem..

apparently it doesn't recognize that i'm running it from the wizard...

And this is one 2 occasions now that i've formated and done a clean install...

ATM, only problem i've ran into so far.
