Noob Error... Help?

essentially the problem was that when i uninstalled my old omega 5.9 i think i deleted some file that i needed for some reason... i also later realized somehow the ATT was not uninstalled and that was causing the "low level driver" thing... so just deleted that... but now i still cant get the bloody cats 5.11 to work cuz of some random INF error... ideas? Im using the initial vid drivers that came w. my lappie... not sure what edition number but stock atis 4 sure... its working ok but havent tested any games as yet...

hmm... interesting... although i was under the impression the 5.11 worked for mobile w/o any modding anyway... ok ill try that... what about the .inf files u mentioned earlier? How do i go about doing that fix... i dont really understand how to get those files from the earlier driver...

for that you need to copy and paste some sections of one inf to another.
when you download ati drivers and run the exe it extracts the drivers to C:\ati\support\"driverversion" the inf is in the folder called 2KXP_INF (well theres two actaully one for 2k and one for xp).

Cho do u have some IM program? it would make this easier and make this post kinda smaller + not make everone else in the bloody form have 2 see this keep poping up 2 the top...

Hi I just read through this thread and am having the same problem but did not understand how it was solved. I installed the dhmodtool ran the setup and although it worked, I still couldn't install dhzer drivers or catalyst drivers. Thanks

essentially all u have 2 do is download the catalyst drivers from the ati site and then use the mobility mod to make it work with whatever card u have... what card and what lappie are u using btw? make sure all older drivers are also uninstalled... u can use driver cleaner 2 do that... a great program...

i think the mobility modder is just for the offical drivers not the dh ones (they probably come with mobility support).
what error are you getting?

the error is says something like inf error, video driver not found, then a second screen pops up saying try using default vga

btw, I have a ati x700 mobility on a asus z70va. XP sp2 and .net 2 just lik billy bob. What settings should I use for drive cleaner? Thanks for the help

Finally got everything setup with omega .87.
Wgat I did was uninstall all my drivers, use driver cleaner in safemode, install the official ati display driver restart and then install the omega drivers and know all is fine. thanks for the help.

Just for future reference, what steps would I have to take to install dhzerpoint drivers after installing the omegas? Do I have to leave the ati display driver installed?
